early beach walk

Naturism is not a fad, and it’s not going away. In fact, the number of young (and old!) people embracing the lifestyle is surging. But in a world where such idealism and self-expression is often met with stoic conservatism (people just don’t get it!), it is natural (ahem) to find certain places more accommodating to you! And with that in mind, here are our top 5 places to be a Naturist.

1. Vera Playa, Spain

Situated in the continental Andalusia region of Spain, the beach of Vera Playa is well known for its celebration of the human form. It hosts a world-famous four-star hotel, two kilometres of beach, and a community of like-minded individuals. Here you can truly be yourself, make friends and enjoy yourself under a hot Spanish Sun.

2. Crete, Greece

The Greeks are well known for philosophy, pottery and art. It is hard to think of Greece without the celebration of the body. Just look at the statues, sculptures and art! And on the island of Crete, your expression of this celebration will be welcomed. Stay at Vritomartis Hotel and you can enjoy a classical trip without having to wrap up.

3. Dankerode, Germany

Ever wanted to explore the pristine Germanic countryside with just a pack (and nothing else,) on your back? Well, now you can. This 11km trek from Dankerode provides opportunities for scenic vistas, a bit of exercise (admit it, we all need it,) and the chance to shed your worries with other like-minded individuals.

4. Euronat, France.

Bonjour! The French are famous for expressionism and with a fantastic history its a prime place for Naturism’s renaissance.  Euronat is hidden in a beautiful Pine Forest and within a short distance of wonderful beaches. If French is your fancy, look no further and add it to your itinerary.

5. Cap d’Agde, France

No list would be complete without the topsy-turvy experience of the ‘Worlds Nudist Capital‘. Able to accommodate up to 40,000 people, this wonderland bucks the trend. Relax during the day and then come alive at night, with clubs, bars and adventures abound.  This may be unusual for a Naturist resort, but nothing ventured..

So that’s our top 5! But the adventure doesn’t stop there. As Naturism grows the world will seem smaller and smaller. So get out there, express yourself and make new friends! And keep us updated!

There are lots of lovely quiet beaches in France, particularly along the Atlantic coast, if you want to escape the busier places.

I have not been to Dankerode but I have visited the other places, they are all great places to be nude at. I had heard about Dankerode and I love nude hiking, so it is on my ‘places to be naked at’ list. It feels so right to walk naturally naked in natural places. Places like Euronat, Vera Playa and Cap d’Agde are wonderful places to visit if you like being surrounded by other nudists, it is a fantastic experience when it seems like the whole world is naked, with hundred of other nudists everywhere you look, or many thousands of nudists at Cap d’Agde.
